It is with great excitement that the Niels Lan Doky International Jazz Collective announces “IMMERSED – A Multi-Sensory Jazz Concert”, a groundbreaking musical and sensory experience in Vietnam.

The concert brings together an extraordinary ensemble of world-class artists, featuring Niels Lan Doky (piano), Felix Pastorius (bass), and Jonas Johansen (drums), alongside Vietnam’s most celebrated musicians — Thanh Lam, Hà Trần, and Quyền Thiện Đắc. Together, they will create an unprecedented fusion of East and West, blending contemporary jazz artistry with the soul of Vietnamese musical heritage.

Set within an immersive environment, IMMERSED goes beyond the traditional concert format. With the world-class L-Acoustics L2D sound system, ambient lighting, scent design, and a curated art exhibition titled “The Universal Within”, the event invites audiences to experience music through every sense — sound, sight, scent, and emotion — creating a journey that transcends boundaries and disciplines.

Hailed as “the best pianist of his generation” (Swing Journal, Japan), “fresh and provocative” (The New York Times), and “one of the most important European pianists of the last 50 years” (El Diario, Spain), Niels Lan Doky has performed on the world’s most prestigious stages — from Carnegie Recital Hall and Royal Albert Hall to Blue Note Tokyo — collaborating with jazz icons such as Pat Metheny, Michael Brecker, and Ray Brown. In 2010, he was knighted by HM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark for his contribution to the arts.
