Immersed – A Multi-Sensory Jazz Experience in Vietnam

The stage is set for something truly extraordinary. I am delighted to announce my return to Vietnam for “Immersed – A Multi-Sensory Jazz Concert”, an event that transcends the boundaries of a traditional performance. This concert is more than music — it is a full-sensory journey that unites sound, sight, scent, and emotion into one unforgettable evening.

At Immersed, we aim to reimagine what a jazz concert can be. By combining world-class musicianship with immersive sound design, visual art installations, and aromatic elements, audiences are invited to experience jazz in an entirely new dimension. Every detail has been carefully shaped to awaken the senses and evoke a profound sense of presence — a feeling of being completely absorbed in the moment.

A Cross-Cultural Collaboration

Joining me on stage are two of my long-time collaborators and dear friends — Felix Pastorius on bass and Jonas Johansen on drums — alongside some of Vietnam’s most celebrated artists: Thanh Lam, Hà Trần, and saxophonist Quyền Thiện Đắc. Together, we will explore the intersection between modern jazz and Vietnamese musical heritage, creating a dialogue that bridges cultures through improvisation and shared expression.

This collaboration represents the very essence of jazz: the art of listening, responding, and discovering beauty in the unexpected. It is a privilege to bring this spirit to Vietnam and to share the stage with artists whose artistry and soul continue to inspire me.

The Immersed experience extends far beyond the performance itself. The concert features a world-class L-Acoustics sound system, a curated art exhibition titled “The Universal Within”, and a space designed to engage every sense. It’s an invitation to slow down, to listen deeply, and to connect — not only with the music, but with oneself and with others.
