About the artists

Camille Sledge

The world traveled model and singer Camille Sledge (daughter of singer Debbie Sledge)  as made a name for herself on stage and off.  Having performed since the age of 12, Camille has a natural on-stage presence. After hosting a live band infused open-mic night in Philadelphia for a few years, this “supermodel soul sister” went on to record original projects with acts such as Dice Raw (The Roots), The Drunken Immortals and of course Sister Sledge. As well as performing all over the world with her mom and aunts, Camille is also the front-woman of The Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra (PAO), a jazz funk band with Africana influence,  voted “Music Project of the Year” in 2014. Truly a high energy performer, Camille Sledge will not fail to entertain every time she touches the mic!

Ken Linh Doky

Composer, producer and keyboardist in the soul/r&b/pop/jazz genres, Ken Linh Doky has a reputation among musicians on both sides of the Atlantic, as an artist of unique talent whom everyone craves to collaborate with. Music has been his shadow since birth. Ken was raised in the midst of his father Niels Lan Doky’s recording sessions and concert performances and with family friends that included some of jazz history’s greatest icons. Ken is based in Paris where he co-leads the hip-hop group Bhati & Bliss and performs regularly in the city’s hottest clubs and venues. Studies at the Berklee College Of Music in Boston in 2010 and 2011 became a life changing experience for Ken as he bonded on a deep level, both spiritually and professionally, with his newfound friends and colleagues in America.

David “Fingers” Haynes

David “Fingers” Haynes has worked with numerous mainstream recording artists including Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige, Sheila E, Lee Ritenour and Arrested Development to name but a few. Although David is an accomplished drummer, he has arguably become renowned for his finger drum playing. His unique finger tapping technique enables him to play a drum machine as he would a drum kit. Videos of his finger drumming have been regularly featured on YouTube, earning him over three million full play hits. One may also have seen Davidplaying drums set on CNN in a segment featuring Arrested Development. In 2008 he was a Grammy nominee with Stanley Jordan. In 2010, he was featured on a BET Black Music Month commercial for a month and also featured in the February 2011 issue of Modern Drummer magazine.

Romulo Duarte

Bassist Rômulo Duarte is from the city of Rio de Janeiro. He appeared on the 2010 album  “Música em Pessoa” with some of the greatest Brazilian singers: Caetano Veloso, Ney Matogrosso, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento and Maria Bethânia. He has also played in various clubs and music festivals throughout Europe, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Veneto Jazz, Blue Note Milan and Umbria Jazz. In Brazil he plays and records with many of the country’s great singers and instrumentalists, such as João Donato, Toninho Horta, Leila Pinheiro, Luiz Melodia, Zé Paulo Becker, Nelson Aires, Nelson Faria, Marcos Ariel, Hamilton de Holanda, Elza Soares, Roberto Menescal, Hermeto Paschoal, Marcos Valle, José Roberto Bertrami , Rosa Passos, Carlos Malta, Humberto Araújo and Orchestra Criola. He has also worked with filmmaker Baiano André Luis and arranger Leandro Braga.
