source One of The Standard Jazz Club’s greatest revelations has undoubtedly been the young and ultra-talented vocalist Amanda Thomsen, who debuted at the The Standard Jazz club in early 2014 at the age of only 16 and took the audiences by storm and quickly evolved from an unknown newcomer to “a little sensation on the Danish music scene” according to the Danish newspaper Politiken, who furthermore wrote, “one becomes spellbound by Amanda Thomsen’s young age combined with the ease and innocence with which she interprets the melodic material”. Her first engagement The Standard in early 2014 culminated with a guest appearance by her idol Brian McKnight. Since then she has performed over 150 concerts at The Standard plus other cities and countries.
