I was very happy that the first Trio Montmartre album was so well-received and that interest quickly developed for a follow-up album. Once again, producer Makoto Kimata hit right on target when he proposed me the idea of an album concept based around Italian songs. I have been to Italy often and have always loved it there. And all my dear Italian friends have helped me discover many of their country's great songs and legendary songwriters.
